WHY REIKI IS IDEAL FOR USE WITH ANIMALS
Reiki is a wonderful complement to your animal’s health and wellness program, since it works safely with all other forms of healing, both allopathic and holistic.
- The essence of Reiki is its simplicity. Reiki needs only two key ingredients: your intention and the animal’s acceptance.
- Reiki can effectively address any problem an animal may face: physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.
- Reiki is gentle and noninvasive, yet powerful.
- Reiki will heal the origin of the problem, even if it is not known. You do not need to diagnose (nor is this your role as practitioner).

eye contact, pushing body into your hands, lying down or falling asleep, sighs, deep breaths, yawns; also you may feel the flow of energy in your hands or other parts of your body.
WHAT IS A HEALING REACTION?
Definition: Issues deeply buried and hidden come to the surface to release as they heal. When this happens, the body may respond to healing by appearing to get worse (physically or emotionally). Usually these are only brief symptoms and are accompanied by signs of recovery. Subsequent Reiki treatments can help ease reactions. It’s good to remind yourself, if you observe an animal having a healing reaction, that Reiki can do no harm: anything that comes up is for the good of the being. And one more gentle reminder: as part of the healing space, you yourself may experience some clearing in the form of a reaction; you also may find animals coming into your life who bring your own healing challenges to the surface.
